Readers Respond: Most Overrated Oklahoma City Restaurants

What are the most overrated restaurants in Oklahoma City? As the Oklahoma City Guide, I make plenty of restaurant recommendations and, of course, not everyone agrees. What restaurants would you say are the most overrated, the least deserving of the hype they receive on this site or elsewhere? Share Your List

Ted's & McNellie's Norman

I agree about Ted's. My husband and I have never liked that place. The food is pretty average if a little below and the wait is insane. We've never understood why. Oh, one more to add: McNellie's in Norman left me unimpressed. The one in OKC has consistently good burgers and staff, but the Norman one has waitresses you rarely see, dry burgers tasteless burgers (not anything remotely like the ones in OKC) and we were horrified by the bugs there (and the manager and other staff's complete lack of a reaction to the bugs). The one in OKC is great, but the one in Norman doesn't live up to the name.

Joining the Chorus

I'll be one of the crowd in saying that Ted's is very overrated. And the same with Cattlemen's. It doesn't mean they aren't good, just means they are overhyped. I'd also add Iguana and Pops. Why so many people want to eat at Pops I have no idea.
