Garth Brooks

When my kids were young we lived two blocks from Tulsa City Limits and Jim's Coney Island. Garth played TCL a lot and loved Jim's coneys (so do we). We still see him there some times. He always says hi and asks how we are doing.

Garth Brooks

I met Garth Brooks actually at a soccer game. My mom's best friend from college's daughter played on Garth's oldest daughter's soccer team. It was ssooo cool!! He really looked like he blended in with the crowd. lol. It was pretty awesome.

Leon Russell

I met Leon at the Armadillo World Headquarters in Austin Texas (many years ago). Leon was very friendly and spoke to us a few minutes about a fellow musician we knew. It's amazing that there's only one musician listed in your "Famous Oklahomans" (Reba) when we have so many world famous musicians that come from our state.

Barry Sanders

I met Barry Sanders at Penn Square Mall. He was sitting on the couches outside of Dillard's. Anyway, my friend and I casually introduced ourselves as fellow OSU alumni. He was VERY rude. He was irritated to be noticed and even more irritated to have anything in common with us. I say, if you are going to be recognized and you don't want to be, DON'T GO OUT! If you do, at least try to have some civility and human decency. It's not like we were that disruptive. We merely said hello and asked for an autograph. Also, he was alone. We didn't even interrupt family time.
