We met each other in Duncan, Oklahoma when we very young and eventually started a band!
History of the Band
Fifth Story consists of three young musicians who have been successfully creating music since 2004. They are comprised of the classic trio formation of Bass, Drums and Guitar. Lucas Gillette, age 17, is on the bass. His intelligent attack and stylings are a crucial aspect of the band’s sound. Tremaine Wade, age 17, has machine-gun timing on the drums, yet still can lace each beat with an infectious groove. The lead vocalist, Joel Parks, also age 17, fronts the band on guitar with his expressive lyrics, powerful rhythms and creative melodic ideas. The band has a high energy sound which can be related to genres such as funk-rock, blues, alternative, ska, and jazz. Some of their influences include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mars Volta, Dream Theater, Sly and the Family Stone, and Sublime.
