Although the unscientific poll here on About OKC was often very close, the election wasn't. Incumbent Governor Brad Henry jumped to an early lead and won re-election by a comfortable margin over challenger Ernest Istook.The final tally had Henry with 66.5 percent with a total of over 600,000 votes while Istook finished at 33.5 percent and a total of just over 300,000.
