2006 Oklahoma Governor's Race Results

Although the unscientific poll here on About OKC was often very close, the election wasn't. Incumbent Governor Brad Henry jumped to an early lead and won re-election by a comfortable margin over challenger Ernest Istook.

The final tally had Henry with 66.5 percent with a total of over 600,000 votes while Istook finished at 33.5 percent and a total of just over 300,000.
