Oak Tree is truly quite the golf course. Though the main entrance for many of the Senior PGA visitors is on the far north end of the grounds where the Trophy Club and Champions Club are found, the first tee is actually situated right near the middle, just north of the clubhouse.

Also by the clubhouse is an elevated putting green (below). Standing and looking north from the clubhouse, you can see the green of the 9th hole just to your left and that of the 18th hole just to your right. The practice range is just to the east of that 18th green.

Walkways traverse north on either side of the 1st fairway as well as to the outside of both the 9th and the 18th fairways. We'll want to pick one of them and make our way north to the 1st hole green, almost as far as that afforementioned main entrance.
