Oklahoma City Turkey Trot Classic - Thanksgiving Day Run

Background: Now in its 8th year, the Turkey Trot Classic is an eight kilometer race held annually on Thanksgiving Day. Sponsored by the Eagle Ridge Institute, the run benefits a number of programs at Eagle Ridge including nonprofit social services for at-risk families, youth and women.
Registration: All runners must register and can find the form online. Registration is $22 for the 8k race. Registrants receive a t-shirt while supplies last. Race day registration is $25.
Other Runs: There is also a one mile fun run/walk that costs $17 for registration. The Little Gobbler Classic, a race for the children, is free.
Turkey Run Details: Held in Stars and Stripes Park, on the south shore of Lake Hefner, the 8k race begins at 9am on Thanksgiving Day. The 1 mile fun run/walk starts at 9:10, and the Little Gobbler Classic begins at 9:45. Festivities and check-in is at 7 am. To get to the park, From I-44 and NW Expressway, go West to Portland then North for 2 miles to the park. Follow directions on parking when you arrive.
