Oklahoma City Turkey Trot Classic - Thanksgiving Day Run

Background:

Now in its 10th year, the Turkey Trot Classic is a five kilometer race held annually on Thanksgiving Day. Sponsored by the Eagle Ridge Institute, the run benefits a number of programs at Eagle Ridge including nonprofit social services for at-risk families, youth and women.

Registration:

All runners must register and can find the form online. Registration is $32.95 for the 5k race before November 15th. Registrants receive a t-shirt while supplies last.

Other Runs:

There is also a one mile fun run/walk that costs $19.95 for registration before November 15th.

Turkey Run Details:

For the first time, the Turkey Trot Classic will be held downtown in 2009, the 5k race beginning at 8 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day. The 1 mile fun run/walk starts also starts at 8 a.m. Registration and check-in begin at 7 am. The starting point will be at Sheridan and Robinson downtown. See here for a map of the area.

Breakfast at the Trot:

2009 will mark the debut of "Breakfast at the Trot," a full breakfast buffet that runs from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at La Baguette in the Colcord Hotel. Registration costs $95 per person, and seating is limited to 200. Online registration is available.
