The Bottom Line
The premise behind RedPin Restaurant & Bowling Lounge in Oklahoma City's Bricktown is sound - an entertainment attraction in a destination area of the city that combines amusement with an upscale bar and restaurant. The best of several worlds. And while the execution isn't always perfect in some of those areas (I will concede to detractor's complaints, including price and occasional service issues), I nonetheless consider it one of my favorite not-quite-a-sports-bar Bricktown attractions, a unique spot definitely worth a try.

Guide Review - RedPin Restaurant & Bowling Lounge
When RedPin Restaurant & Bowling Lounge opened, it was one of the toughest tickets around. Reservations had to be made nearly a month in advance for a weekend lane. Now, it's not quite so bad but still among the top attractions in Bricktown and the more unique bowling centers in the metro. It's an interesting concept that combines a nice night on the town with a casual game of bowling. While each area of the operation may have shortcomings, in total, the package makes for an enjoyable diversion.
Somewhat cramped (particularly since the place is often booked solid), lanes stretch the north wall, flat-screen televisions in good supply. Expect to pay more than a typical bowling experience. For parties of up to six, the hourly lane price with shoe rental is $55 after 5 p.m. If you're bowling at a comfortable pace and have four people in your group, it's difficult to even get through two games in that time.
Drinks and food are available for bowlers, but the service can be slow and there isn't a lot of room to eat there. However, move over to the restaurant side after your game and enjoy menu items such as stone-baked pizza and ahi tuna salad. The quality certainly isn't to the best restaurants in OKC, but it's a tremendous and tasty step above the pretzels and hot dog selection of a traditional bowling alley. Or try the bar area in the middle that offers an extensive selection of drinks.
RedPin gets raucous and busy on weekend nights. On one occasion I had to wait nearly 30 minutes after my lane reservation time. Then, only about halfway into my session, the scores shut down, apparently on a timer. However, management was courteous, quick to restore our game and allow us to complete it. Hiccups happen, to be expected with a popular, multi-faceted place, but they can be overlooked at times with an enjoyable experience.
