Located in downtown Oklahoma City, less than a mile from central Bricktown, the historic and elegant Skirvin Hotel opened originally in 1911. After revolving ownership and decline, it closed in 1989 and was boarded up until extensive renovations resulted in its opening again in 2007. Today, the Skirvin is one of the premiere hotels in the metro. The 225 rooms have all the modern comforts, including flat-screen television, and hotel services are extensive, punctuated by the Park Avenue Grill restaurant and Red Piano lounge.

Like the Skirvin, the Colcord has an important place in Oklahoma City's history. It was Oklahoma City's first skyscraper when it opened in 1910 as a luxurious office building. Untouched when many buildings were leveled during OKC's urban renewal, the Colcord underwent extensive renovations and re-opened as an elegant hotel in 2006.
