Each month, there are numerous popular events around the Oklahoma City metro area, from annual favorite festivals to sporting events, shows, concerts and more. Plan your days and nights out by visiting the monthly Oklahoma City Events Calendars for the most up to date information on the OKC metro scene.

Monthly events calendars are typically updated the previous month, but if you're looking for information on an event not yet updated, just send me a note.

January

The new year begins in Oklahoma City with the Opening Night festivities downtown. After that, the month brings the solemn celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day events, the popular International Finals Rodeo and much more.

February

Ah, February, the month of love... Celebrate Valentine's Day with events and specials throughout the city. Also, food seems to be a theme. There's Chocolate Decadence and the annual Omelette Party from the Museum of Art. And don't miss the Winter Jam concert, Friends of the Metro Library System Book Sale and much more.

March

The highlight of March is the green-clad, Irish celebration of St. Patrick's Day in Bricktown and elsewhere, but the month also features the Oklahoma City International Auto Show at State Fair Park, the opening of the Quarterhorse season at Remington Park, Spring Break Camps, Norman's Medieval Fair and more.

April

Easter events occur throughout the month of April in Oklahoma City, and metro residents and visitors can also enjoy the start of the RedHawks baseball season at the Brick as the weather starts to warm. In addition, April highlights include the Redbud Classic, the OKC Festival of the Arts and, of course, the Annual Remembrance at the OKC National Memorial.

May

With the nice weather in full swing now, the month of May brings plenty of outdoor fun and festivals in Oklahoma City. Head up north to the Edmond Arts Festival or south to the Norman May Fair Arts Festival, take a lunch break for the Soundbites concerts downtown, visit the Burger Day Festival in El Reno, check out the Paseo Arts Festival or get tickets for the concerts at the Zoo Amphitheatre. Oh, and don't forget Mother's Day events and specials.

June

School is out, and the kids are looking for something to do. June has plenty of summer camps around the metro, but you can also enjoy time with them at the Sunday Twilight Concert Series. In addition to Father's Day events and specials, there's the deadCENTER Film Festival, Bricktown Blues & BBQ Festival, Oklahoma City Nationals Drag Boat Races, OKC Pride Weekend, the Red Earth Festival and much more.

July

Perhaps the biggest month for Oklahoma City events, July starts, of course, with the July 4th celebrations all around the metro communities. After that, though, you can see the Summer Classic Dog Shows or the World Cup of Softball. The Bricktown Reggae Festival delights crowds downtown, and the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum has the annual Taste of Oklahoma City.

August

And summer comes to a close unofficially in August. That is, the kids are going Back to School this month. August also features the Oklahoma County Free Fair, Yukon's Concert in the Park Series, the State Sales Tax Holiday, and the tail end of the RedHawks season at the Bricktown Ballpark.

And into the fall we go in Oklahoma City, the cooler weather bringing fewer outdoor events but still plenty of things of note. OKC Community College hosts Arts Festival Oklahoma, and free family fun of Septemberfest takes place at the Governor's mansion. There's the Oklahoma City Storytelling Festival and the start of the College Football Season, but the highlight of the month is undoubtedly the Oklahoma State Fair.

Halloween excitement abounds throughout the month of October in Oklahoma City, from community events to haunted houses. In addition, Thunder Basketball and Barons Hockey both begin, Yukon holds the annual Oklahoma Czech Festival, the Oklahoma Regatta Festival takes place on the Oklahoma River, and State Fair Park welcomes An Affair of the Heart.

November

With the chill now in the air, Oklahoma City celebrates Thanksgiving, with metro events, specials and, of course, food. Then, there's Black Friday Shopping and the annual Turkey Trot Classic. Finally, don't miss the start of the Downtown in December festivities as the holiday season hits its stride.

Many of them get started in November, but it's the month of December where the Area Holiday Lighting Displays bring the holiday spirit to our minds. Enjoy the season with Downtown in December throughout the month, "A Very Merry Pops" from the Philharmonic, "The Nutcracker" from OKC Ballet, the Holiday River Parade and much more, all leading up to the Opening Night celebration of the new year.
