Founded in 1962, the Omniplex moved into its current location in the Kirkpatrick Center museum complex in 1978 and changed its name to Science Museum Oklahoma in 2007.

There is literally everything under the sun for science-minded individuals at Science Museum Oklahoma. Interactive exhibits and unique displays make the museum a truly amazing educational experience. See the new "Tinkering Garage" exhibit, where visitors get to explore the tools and create their own projects. "Destination Space" has one-of-a-kind space artifacts such as the actual Apollo Command Module Mission Simulator and much more.

"Science Live" is a daily live science performance show where visitors can witness the mysteries of chemistry and physics, including some amazing chemical-reaction explosions, and "Gadget Trees" features the world's tallest spiral slide.
