The state headquarters of American Farmers & Ranchers Mutual Insurance Company since 2005, Oklahoma City's first high school was Central High School, located at NW 7th and Robinson in Midtown. The school originally opened in 1910 and served as a high school for nearly 60 years. After a time of being used in other educational capacities, the building was closed in the 1970's, then purchased by SBC and restored in the 1980's.
