July 4th Events Around the Oklahoma City Metro

July 4th celebrations around Oklahoma City are numerous with Red, White & Boom on the River being the premiere event. Other large events include Bricktown's OG&E OKC Salute, Edmond's LibertyFest and Yukon's Freedom Fest.

Bethany's Freedom Festival

The 50th version of Bethany's Freedom Festival takes place in 2008. The event includes everything from a parade to carnival rides, contests and more.

Date and Times: Bethany's Freedom Festival takes place on July 4th and begins at 7:30am with the Centennial Freedom Run, but gates don't open to the park until 10am. One of the state's largest fireworks displays begins at 9:55pm. The city of Bethany has a full schedule of events available online.

Location: The Centennial Freedom Festival takes place at Eldon Lyon Park in Bethany. The park is located just south of NW 39th Expressway between Council and Rockwell. Parking is available on the north end of the park on NW 39th Expressway.

Events: Admission is free in 2008. There will be a donkey softball game, Centennial Freedom Run, Centennial Parade, classic car show and live entertainment, lineup TBA.

Food, Vendors and More: Along with carnival rides and plenty of food, there will be plenty of shopping available as well.
