If you know of other OKC spots offering specials and/or activities in celebration of Grandparent's Day, let me know.
- Orr Family Farm
For the 2008 celebration of Grandparent's Day, Orr Family Farm offered free "Olde Tyme" photographs for the grandparents with their grandkids. Stay tuned on whether they'll offer a similar promotion in 2009. This OKC attraction also has plenty of great fun for the holiday including fishing, mining for gemstones, a carousel, pony rides and the Jupiter train.
- Oklahoma City Zoo
Grandparent's 55 and over accompanied by a child 3-11 will get free admission to the Oklahoma City Zoo on Sunday, September 13th. It's another perfect family attraction in the metro to celebrate the holiday. See the snow leopard cubs and all the other great exhibits.
- OKC Museum of Art
The Oklahoma City Museum of Art has "Little Acorns and Mighty Oaks" from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 13th. This special class focuses on three-dimensional art and has grandparents and grandchildren (ages 6-9) working together with acorns and other found objects for memorable creations.
- Other Metro Events of Interest
The September Event Calendar has plenty of interesting events around the Grandparent's Day holiday that would be perfect to celebrate together. Check there to get details on Septemberfest at the Governor's Mansion or and much more.
