Easter Events in the Oklahoma City Metro Area

There are a number of great annual events in the Oklahoma City metro area for the Easter holiday. Many churches in the area, simply too many to list here, have Easter Egg Hunts as well. Here is information on some of the big Easter events in OKC.

Annual Easter Events

• Name: "Hopabaloo" at the Oklahoma City Zoo
  Date: Sunday, April 12th

  Date: Saturday, April 11th

• Name: Meet the Easter Bunny at Penn Square Mall
  Date: Daily through Easter
  More Information: Head out to Penn Square, in front of Macy's to get a free meeting. Parents can buy professional pictures of the kids with the Easter Bunny himself. Call (405) 842-4424 for more information.
  
  
• Name: Meet the Easter Bunny at Quail Springs Mall
  Date: Daily through Easter
  More Information: Quail Springs Mall will also have the Easter Bunny on hand this holiday season, in front of Stride Rite. Call (405) 755-6530 for more information.
  
  
• Name: "Eggstravaganza" at the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History in Norman
  Date: Wednesday, April 8th
  More Information: There's free admission to the museum from 4-7pm, and the free event begins at 6:30. There will be plenty of games for the kids and a "giant egg hunt."
  
  
• Name: Easter Egg Dye Day at City Arts Center
  Date: Saturday, April 4th
  More Information: From 1-4 p.m., kids can bring their own eggs for a free Easter Egg Dye Day at the City Arts Center. A big selection of colors and natural elements such as onion skins will be available for kids and their families to create colorful, patterned Easter eggs.
  
  

OKC Area Community Easter Egg Hunts

• Name: Moore's 27th Annual Easter Egg Hunt
  Date, Time & Location: Saturday, April 4th from 10 a.m. to Noon at Buck Thomas Park Football Fields on 12th Street
  More Information: The Easter Bunny will be on hand at this annual favorite in Moore sponsored by Moore Firefighters and the American Legion. There also will be special prize eggs. Call (405) 793-5090 for more information.
  
  
• Name: Choctaw's 11th Annual Easter Egg Hunt
  Date, Time & Location: 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 11th at Choctaw Creek Park
  More Information: Nearly 6,000 eggs will be hidden in this event sponsored by the Choctaw Public Recreation Board. The hunt is divided into 5 age groups, and prizes are given for best Easter bonnet. Call (405) 390-8276 for more information.
  
  
• Name: Norman's "Best" Easter Egg Hunt
  Date, Time & Location: Beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, April 3rd at Andrews Park in Norman
