Overview:
Redlands Community College, located in El Reno, Oklahoma, is one of the older higher learning institutions in the area. Originally established in the late 1930's as El Reno Junior College, it held its classes in the basement of El Reno High School for many years. The current campus was completed in the early 1970's, and the college was renamed Redlands Community College in 1991. Redlands is a member of the American Association of Community Colleges and has full accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission.
The school offers Associate Degree programs in Science, Applied Science and Arts as well as Career Certificate Programs and university transfer credit. A public institution with an open admissions policy, Redlands has traditional and online courses.

The 37-acre site of Redlands Community College is located along Country Club Road in El Reno, a suburb just southwest of Oklahoma City. The campus contains 7 major buildings is situated north of I-240 near Elm Street.

Redlands Community College offers 12 Associate Degree programs in the Arts and more than 30 in Science and Applied Science disciplines. In addition, Redlands has Certificate of Mastery programs in Child Development, Computer Forensic Science, Enology and Viticulture.
Disciplines include Child Development, Agriculture, Aviation, IT, Accounting, Medical Transcription, Nursing, Criminal Justice, Athletic Training, English, Psychology, Speech and many more.

With an enrollment of approximately 2,000 per semester, Redlands Community College's faculty to student ratio is estimated to be around 25:1. The school is 2nd in the state of Oklahoma only to Tulsa Community College in concurrent high school enrollment, so nearly half of the students are enrolled part-time. The student body is about 62 percent female. Freshmen are required to live in on-campus housing.
The school employs 35 full-time faculty members and just over 70 adjunct or part-time instructors.
