Many are often surprised to learn that Oklahoma City has a number of extremely popular gay bars and clubs, some part of the thriving gay and lesbian scene around the NW 39th Street Enclave at NW 39th and Pennsylvania Avenue. Here is a list of some of the best gay bars & clubs in the Oklahoma City metro area.

The Copa

The Habana Inn, a gay resort hotel on NW 39th Expressway, boasts a couple of the top gay/lesbian bars in Oklahoma City. The most popular is perhaps the Copa. A dance club with a state of the art sound system, multiple levels, drag shows and male dancers on weekend nights, the Copa quite frequently has a line to get in every Friday and Saturday.

Angles

Angles has been an OKC favorite for over 20 years and is known as one of the best in the metro. Originally opening in 1983, it is housed in a renovated warehouse with state of the art sound and lighting.

Hi-Lo Club

Following the dance clubs above, the Hi-Lo Club marks quite a change. Calling itself a "Classic Conversation Cocktail Lounge," the northwest OKC establishment is a quieter and more relaxed bar that boasts of their martinis, Margaritas and bloody marys.

The Finish Line

Oklahoma is famous for its country-western heritage, and the Finish Line is the place to go for country music in dance. Also located in the Habana Inn, the club features darts, pool tables, a large dance floor and special events such as Rodeo Weekend.

The Park

The Park is a video cruise bar that attracts a mostly younger, male crowd. Dance under the glass roof or have a seat on the private patio surrounded by ivy.

The Ledo

Yet another located inside the Habana Inn, the Ledo is very popular for those looking to find a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Overlooking, the hotel's Gusher's Restaurant, the Ledo is known for its martinis and piano music.

Tramps

Some would say Tramps serves the strongest drinks. Located just south of the Habana, Tramps caters to a fairly diverse crowd and features juke box, pool tables, darts, drag shows, dancers and special events.

Phoenix Rising

Another relaxed neighborhood-type bar, Phoenix Rising dubs itself the "friendliest bar on the strip." It was originally more of a "leather" bar, but now attracts quite a variety of folks. There are drink specials 7 days a week.

The Boom

The Boom touts itself as OKC's "best off the wall cabaret, dinner theatre and nightclub." Drag shows and stage productions take place in a non-smoking theater room, and there are two bars and a large menu of American food favorites.
