Taste of Oklahoma City

In Short:

Oklahoma City residents craving wonderful and varied food options have been quite pleased in recent years. Not only has the metro's restaurant scene expanded significantly, but a number of food-centric events have begun: festivals, tastings and promotions such as Downtown Restaurant Week in January. Taste of Oklahoma City, with over 30 years of history, has been around through it all. Dressed in cocktail attire, visitors to the annual Taste of Oklahoma City event get to sample many metro tastes while enjoying music, dance, auctions and more, all to raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma. Get information below on participating restaurants, location, tickets and more.

2014 Dates & Times:

The 2014 Taste of Oklahoma City event takes place on Saturday, February 8th at 6:30p.m.

First National Center, located downtown at 120 N. Robinson Avenue, is the site for the 35th annual Taste of Oklahoma City in 2013.

Always a popular event, Taste of Oklahoma City tickets go quickly. So it's a good idea to purchase as soon as possible. Individual tickets are $150, and couple tickets are available for $250. Visitors may also purchase event sponsorships. Remember that all proceeds go to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma, a mentoring program with a mission to "nurture children and strengthen communities."

Taste of Oklahoma City is a formal affair. Guests are asked to don cocktail attire such as a suit for men and a small dress for women. In addition to the food, they will enjoy silent and live auctions, live music and dancing. The selected performer for 2014 is local band Laura Leighe Music.
