If you're like me, plans for a night out in a new city start with the food. I'll figure out the particulars as I go, but I want to sample the city's best to eat. Well, whether your tastes are simple or more refined, Oklahoma City offers just a bit of everything in its somewhat eclectic restaurant landscape. The only downside to that? We don't quite have a "staple" the way Philly has its cheesesteak or Kansas City has its barbecue.
Like many cities in the heartland of America, though, Oklahoma City knows how to do steak. In fact, I ranked "having an OKC steak" pretty high on my list of top things visitors "Gotta Do" here.
If you like steak, you should definitely try to get in at Cattlemen's Steakhouse. There aren't many better in OKC, but if the lines are too long, I have plenty of other restaurant recommendations in Bricktown and elsewhere that include great places for breakfast, lunch and nights out.
Special occasion dinners for couples present their own challenges, of course. But as you learn the great date ideas around OKC, also take note of some good places for that perfect romantic dinner.
Too tired from moving all your belongings to OKC? Don't worry about going out. Call in a great metro pizza and just watch some TV.
Okay, enough sitting around. Now that you're refreshed, you have to learn about the great places to go in Oklahoma City...
