How to Submit a Tip

By Adam Knapp, About.com

Oklahoma City Crime Stoppers was established in 1979 and has helped police track down countless wanted criminals thanks to metro-area residents' tips. A non-profit organization that does not utilize tax dollars, OKC Crime Stoppers is a cooperation between the community, the police and the media.

Rewards: Crime Stoppers offers rewards of up to $1,000 for tips leading to the apprehension and arrest of fugitives.

Privacy: Anyone providing information to the Oklahoma City Crime Stoppers has the option of remaining completely anonymous. Phone conversations are not recorded, and caller ID is not used.

Wanted Fugitives: The organization maintains a list online of both wanted suspects and sex offenders who failed to comply with the Sex Offender Registration Act.

Submitting a Tip: Crime Stoppers offers several methods by which members of the community can submit a tip.
  • By Phone - Call the OKC Crime Stoppers Hotline at (405) 235-7300
  • Over the Web - Give details of the tip on an online submission form
