In Short:
The Oklahoma City suburb of Midwest City features one of the best holiday lighting displays in the metro area. Held each year at Joe B. Barnes Regional Park, the event offers a mile-long drive or walk-through wonderland of Christmas spirit that includes a 118 foot Christmas tree, a tunnel of lights, over 80 lighting displays, a waterfall and many, many animated displays.

2012 Dates and Times:
In 2012, Midwest City's Holiday Lights Spectacular begins just before Thanksgiving on November 16th and runs through December 30th. The display is open each evening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Location & Directions:
The Holiday Lights Spectacular takes place in Midwest City's Joe B. Barnes Regional Park, located at 8700 E. Reno Avenue.
From I-40, exit northbound on Douglas Boulevard and follow the snowflakes heading west on SE 15th. From I-35, take eastbound SE 15th exit. And if in the metro, go south of Reno Avenue on S.E. 15th. The entrance is marked by an animated toy soldier.

Admission to Midwest City's Holiday Lights Spectacular is absolutely free, thanks to a number of sponsors such as First National Bank, Midwest Regional Medical Center, Rose State College, Tinker Federal Credit Union, Wal-Mart, City of Midwest City, Midwest City Optimist Club, Midwest City Chamber of Commerce and St. Philip Neri Catholic Church.

There are an estimated 85 displays as part of Midwest City's Holiday Lights Spectacular. Among the highlights:
