Thunderbird Casino in Norman

One of the oldest Native American casinos in the state and operated by the Absentee Shawnee tribe of Oklahoma, Thunderbird Casino opened in 1987, located 15 miles east of Norman on Highway 9. Thunderbird Casino operates 24 hours a day, and the 40,000 square foot facility with an old-west exterior features gaming machines, card games, a restaurant, lounge and live music on the weekends.

Thunderbird Casino has approximately 420 Vegas-style gaming machines, and there are occasionally specials in which the casino matches your money on slot games. However, it is not unusual to find some games disconnected.

In addition, there are thirteen tables with Blackjack, 3 card poker and Ultimate Texas Hold’em.
