In Short:

The Oklahoma State Fair recently surpassed 100 years in existence, and 2014 will be the 108th version of this Oklahoma annual favorite. With everything you love about the fair, from food and rides to events and entertainment, the 2014 Oklahoma State Fair runs from September 11th through the 21st.

Main gates open at 8 a.m. each day, but most of the carnival rides won't begin operation until 1 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m. on the weekends.

The Oklahoma State Fair takes place at State Fair Park just off I-44, northeast of the I-40 & I-44 intersection. From I-44, take the NW 10th Street exit east and turn right at the 1st stoplight into State Fair Park.

Tickets for the 2014 Oklahoma State Fair can be purchased online, at the State Fair Arena Box Office or by calling (405) 948-6800.

Adult admission is $10 while children ages 6-11 are $5. Children 4 and under are admitted FREE.

Discount tickets ($3 off adult, $1 off child) are available from July 5th through September 10th. Beginning August 11th, they also can be purchased at On Cue store locations, MidFirst Bank Center locations and Cox Retail Store locations.

Season Pass:

One option available to those who plan on attending more than two days is a Season Pass. For only $30, you can attend as often as you'd like.  As with regular tickets, there is an advanced purchase discount for Season Passes.  Buy from July 5 through September 10th, and passes are $25.

Important Ticket Notes:

Ticket prices are for gate admission only and don't cover events, rides or entertainment. Event tickets must be purchased separately through any of the above methods. Note, though, that event tickets purchased before September 10th also include gate admission.

Rides typically require anywhere from 4-6 coupons. As with previous years, there is a sheet of ride coupons available for purchase, 30 tickets for $25.

In addition, wristbands can be purchased that give unlimited ride access. Wristbands are $30 during the week and $35 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but if you purchase by September 5th, you can get $10 off.

2014 Special Promotions:

  • September 11th features an Opening Day Discount. Gate admission is only $2 for everyone.
  • September 15th is School Kids' Day. All kids through 12th grade get free admission.
  • September 16th is Super Saver Tuesday. Gate admission is only $3 for everyone.

In addition, the fair accepts entries in more than 30 cooking competition categories, from bread and cakes to meal challenges with grilled cheese sandwiches, breakfast, crock-pots and more.  Cash prizes are available, and cooking contests are free to enter.  Detailed rules, schedule and entry forms are available online.
