In Short:

The Oklahoma State Fair recently surpassed 100 years in existence, and 2011 will be the 105th version of this Oklahoma annual favorite. With everything you love about the fair from food and rides to events and entertainment, the 2011 Oklahoma State Fair runs from September 15th through the 25th.

Main gates open at 8 a.m. each day, but most of the carnival rides won't begin operation until 1 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m. on the weekends.

Location:

The Oklahoma State Fair takes place at State Fair Park just off I-44, northeast of the I-40 & I-44 intersection. From I-44, take the NW 10th Street exit east and turn right at the 1st stoplight into State Fair Park.

The official website for the Oklahoma State Fair also has directions and a map online.

Tickets:

Tickets for the 2011 Oklahoma State Fair can be purchased online, at participating Buy For Less stores, at the State Fair Arena Box Office or by calling (800) 511-1552.

Adult admission is $9 while children ages 6-11 are $5. Children under 6 are FREE.

Discount tickets ($2 off adult, $1 off child) will be available from August 15th through September 14th. They can be purchased at On Cue store locations, MidFirst Bank Center locations, Cox Retail Store locations and the State Fair Arena Box Office.

Season Pass:

One option available to those who plan on attending more than two days is a Season Pass. For only $25, you can attend as often as you'd like. These are available for purchase at the State Fair Arena Box Office starting Monday, August 15th.

Important Ticket Notes:

Ticket prices are for gate admission only and don't cover events, rides or entertainment. Event tickets must be purchased separately through any of the above methods. Note, though, that event tickets purchased before September 14th also include gate admission.

Rides typically require anywhere from 3-5 coupons. As with previous years, there is a FAMILY FUN PACK of ride coupons available for purchase at the State Fair Box Office. Beginning August 15th, you get 30 tickets for only $20.
In addition, wristbands can be purchased by September 14th that give unlimited ride access as well as an outside gate admission ticket. Wristbands are $25 during the week and $30 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

2011 Special Promotions:

  • Dr. Pepper Days are September 15th and the 22nd. Bring in a Dr. Pepper can those days and receive $6 off the price of a ride wristband.
