Background:
Sponsored by Devon Energy, the 5th annual Holiday River Parade on the Oklahoma River will light up downtown on Friday, November 28th, the day after Thanksgiving. Over 30 boats, decorated in holiday lights, will parade the river as a spectacular fireworks display adorns the sky.
Boat Entry:
Entry forms for boat registration are available from most metro area boat dealers or online at okcevents.info. Boat height must be 12 feet or less from water level.
Viewing Location:
The main viewing area is the Riverfront at Wiley Post Park at S.W. 20th and Robinson. Also, there's a viewing area at Regatta Park on Byers Ave. The parade itself will begin from Regatta Park and travel up river to Wiley Post Park and back again.
Further Details:
The viewing areas open at 4 p.m. on Friday, November 28th. Activities will begin at 6 p.m., and the parade starts around dusk.

2008 Winners:
The boat entry winners of the 2007 Holiday River Parade were announced in late December 2008. Honored were:
- Mayor's Award: Boat City for Make a Wish Foundation for "The Grinch and Whosville"
- Grand Marshall's Award: David's Sport Center for "The Boomer Sooner Schooner"
- Chairman's Award: Oklahoma Classic Boating for "Red's Gold"
- Corporate Category: First prize goes to the Oklahoman and David's Sports Center for "Garfield the Cat." Second prize goes to the Triad Design Group, Inc. for "Christmas in the Country" and third prize goes to Farmers Insurance for "The Kamler Kruse."
- Nonprofit Category: First prize goes to the City of OKC for "Ice Breaker 1." Second prize goes to United States Submarine Veterans and third prize goes to India Shriners for "For the Kids."
- Private/Individual Category: Boat City for "Fun Time Cartoon Christmas" wins first prize. Second prize goes to Oklahoma Classic Boating's "Job Site," and third prize goes to Bob and Leslie Kyle for "Joy to the World."
