Held on the first Saturday of May each year since 1989, the Fried Onion Burger Day Festival in El Reno, Oklahoma is a metro-area event that celebrates a town staple, the fried onion hamburger that has been cooked daily in El Reno since the early 1900's. The festival is built around the cooking and cooking of the world’s largest fried onion hamburger and also features games, live music, eating contests, arts & crafts and a car show. The event attracts more than 25,000 people from the local area and around the world.
2013 Date & Times:
The 2013 El Reno Friend Onion Burger Festival will take place on Saturday, May 4th. Admission is free, and the live entertainment runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The 2013 main stage performance schedule is as follows:

- 3:30 p.m. Hula Hoop Contest (ages 18 and over)

Downtown El Reno is the site for the annual Fried Onion Burger Day Festival. From Oklahoma City, follow I-40 west and exit northbound on Highway 81.
