Oklahoma City Movie Theaters

By , About.com Guide

Movie-watchers in the Oklahoma City area have a number of movie theater options, from the top choices to drive-ins and bargain theaters. Here is a full list of Oklahoma City movie theaters, each linked to a detailed profile with information on showtimes, ticket-purchasing, theater features and more.

AMC Crossroads Mall 16

The Crossroads Mall 16 by AMC is one of the top movie theaters in the metro. It's clean, comfortable and has enough screens that the movie you want will probably be on, and it seems to have improved since it changed from a Regal Cinema to an AMC. If you're down in south OKC, you should check it out. You likely won't be disappointed.

AMC Penn Square 10 Theatre

The Penn Square 10 Theatre is located in Penn Square Mall Penn Square Mall, along Northwest Expressway at the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue in north Oklahoma City. The theater itself is on the upper level next to JC Penney.

AMC Quail Springs Mall 24

The AMC in Quail Springs Mall is one of the top movie theaters in the metro. More screens. More times. Great setting. The theaters are in good shape, and the experience is top notch. If you can handle mall crowds, you'll definitely enjoy yourself.

Beacon Drive-In (Guthrie)

One of the few drive-in theaters left in or near the metro, the Beacon is located in Guthrie, a short drive north up I-35. It is open on weekends only in September and October but nightly from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Cinemark Tinseltown

The Cinemark Tinseltown is one of the top movie theaters in the metro. It's another one of the big theaters with a bunch of screens, stadium seating and digital sound. It even has a game room for the kids while you wait for your movie to start.

Crossroads Movies 8

One of the Oklahoma City metro area's bargain movie theaters, the Crossroads Movies 8 is located near Crossroads Mall in south Oklahoma City.

Harkins Bricktown Cinemas 16

Whether you're out for date night in Bricktown or are just looking for one of the best theaters in OKC, the Harkins Cine Capri Bricktown is a great choice. It opened in late 2004, part of the continuing boom in economic development in Bricktown and has all the elements of a top of the line movie-watching experience, including daycare available for the parents. It's the cream of the crop.

Hollywood Theaters Spotlight 14 (Norman)

With the closing of the Brixton Square 8 on NW Expressway, there is now only one Hollywood Theater in the Oklahoma City metro area. The Hollywood Theaters Spotlight 14 is located in Norman.

Noble Theater at the OKC Museum of Art

Some people don't even know about the Noble Theater, but I rank it as one of the top movie theaters in the metro. From the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, this unique gem will give you the opportunity to see rare and classic films as well as hard-to-find quality movies in a restored classic theater. Whereas most other establishments focus on the "blockbusters," the Noble Theater presents award nominees, foreign films, short films, classics and much more.

One of the Oklahoma City metro area's bargain movie theaters, the Northpark Cinema 7 may be the best of them. It is located in Northpark Mall on North May Avenue.
