Bricktown Reggae Festival

In Short:

A popular annual event in Oklahoma City that began in the mid-1990's, the Bricktown Reggae Festival is held in late July/early August and features many of the area's best reggae musicians performing live throughout the two-day festival as well as food, drinks and giveaways.

Admission to the Bricktown Reggae Festival is free, and all ages are allowed.

2009 Bricktown Reggae Festival:

The 14th Annual Bricktown Reggae Festival will be held on Friday, July 31st and Saturday, August 1st. Gates open at 4 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday, and the music and festivities last until midnight.

Location & Directions:

The Bricktown Blues & BBQ Festival is held, rain or shine, beneath tents erected at the corner of Sheridan & Oklahoma Avenue in Bricktown.

Friday
  • 5 – 6:20 p.m. The Suspects
  • 6:45 – 8:15 p.m. Sam & the Stylees
  • 8:45 – 10:05 p.m. Watusi
  • 10:30 – Midnight Josh Heinrich Formerly of Jah Roots
Saturday
  • 4 – 5:00 p.m. The Suspects
  • 5:20 – 6:40 p.m. Sam & the Stylees
  • 7:00 – 8:20 p.m. One Love Uprising
  • 8:40 – 10:05 p.m. D.R.U.M
  • 10:30 – Midnight Natty Nation

Food, Drink & More:

In addition to the live music, there will be Budweiser in souvenir pitchers and soft drinks for sale. Get a free easy pick Powerball lottery ticket for the June 15th drawing with purchase of a commemorative 16 oz. Bud Light Blue Aluminum bottle of beer. Also, vendors will have t-shirts, hats and more.

Rules:

Lawn chairs and blankets are allowed. Outside food and drinks, pets, professional video or camera equipment and weapons are prohibited.
