Review: I've gone to Flips Wine Bar at least the past 20 years or so and haven't
been able to frequent the restaurant over the last couple years for reasons that
aren't important to readers. I went with friends I grew up with that all know Flips
as well as I. I do like Flips! However i honestly feel when I ordered the seafood
rissoto special Dec 26th that I couldn't go wrong because I was hungry & at $20 for
an entre I would be fine. There were 3 small peices of salmon (the size of Brachs
Carmel pieces) & 4 very average pieces of shrimp, good flavor but could have been
better, plenty of rissoto. The entre at best should have been no more than $7 not
$19 and change. I also had drinks and my first was a double Crown and diet coke,
the diet coke i ordered was not diet and a hint of Crown was not a $15 drink, the
drink was lucky if it had a single shot of Crown. I Love Flips and know its better
than this! We all work hard for our money and its only right to get what we pay
for! I felt ripped off because I left hungry and after ordering the special I
wasn't gona make a bad situation worse by ordering more food. If this has become
the norm for Flips I won't return because I'm doing my part by returning to Flips,
Flips needs to step up to the plate and give proper portions according to prices. I
was with friends and because of them I had a nice evening I wasn't going to let the
irritation I felt win. Its times like this I would like to invite the owner to my
table to ask there point of view with my experience. I had all the evidence in
front of me. Take pride in your business and please don't run it into the ground.
You have great customers, show your appreciation. I'm going to upset if I
experience this again and I won't return, and I don't like saying that but I'm not
into throwing good money after bad. I hope this is important enough for Flips to
make changes.

Review: Sort of out of the way place, but a pleasant surprise. They have a big
outdoor patio, and allow dogs which I appreciate. They also serve food pretty late
(have been there past midnight and they are still cooking). A couple misses on the
food, but overall pretty good. Service has been spotty on occaision, but usually
with a smile.
