Review: ut dated, low quality! Dive! Unprofessional staff, precooked steaks swimming in peppery water? Instant potatoes, tiny baked potatoes, frozen shrimp...lousy salad dressing! The dinner rolls are great though, they must buy those! Skip this one...chase a cow...don't go to Cattlemans!

Review: Let's first talk about their house dressing, it tastes like mayo & paprika! I ordered the small filet, I had a roach in my ague; a small roach. Utter disbelief. My waiter tried to getting me a new one but I turned it down. Manager Brandon (I think) was a complete a hole. Went to the bathroom there was cow or people (..) on the floor! Sick! Next time I'm here visiting my daughter I will stay away! Definitely do not recommend this place!

Review: love Cattlemen's it is a must on every trip to the city. The Blue Ribbon has never disappointed me and the lamb fries are delicious.

Review: Being from out of town, I had heard of the Cattlemans Resturant and decided to give it a try. I had the ribeye steak, it was not great but just OK. The iceberg salad was sub-par. I experienced service was attentive and impressive. The interior had an old western feel to it, but needs to be updated and cleaned up a bit. Would I go there again? Maybe, but not go out of my way to do it.

Review: I go back to cattlemen's every few years to see if it's still as mediocre as I remember. It's not bad, it's just not good either. Never have understood what all the fuss is about. If I want a good steak for a reasonable price in the OKC area I go to Saltgrass in Norman. If it's a special occasion and I'm willing to spend a little extra I'd go to Mickey Mantle's or Opus. Save your time & money and skip Cattlemen's. It's simply a place that's been around forever and is living off its name. How it got the good reputation is beyond me.

Review: I love this great state, born and raised here, but have lived other places and traveled. I had never tried Cattlemen's, but decided to do so after all of the Hype and Recognition. I am sad to say, I was dissapointed and it didn't live up to the Hype. The steak was good not great the salad was dry, the dressing was a blob of mayo with a little season salt on it and no flavor, the help was tired an overworked, so not very friendlly. I felt like I was at a feeding trough, it was kinda old/dated, unclean. The brightest moment was the peppy, smilling friendly little African American kid at the register. I am so sorry, I really wanted to like it.

Review: This place is old and nasty. Their steaks are tough and not very tasty. Very disappointed.

Review: Definitely does not live up to the hype! We went at lunch and weren't impressed. Food was marginally on par with chain type steak restaurants found near most shopping centers. Service after our initial order was haphazard at best. Had we not already ordered we'd have walked out when 10 loud, obnoxious and drunk frat boys prepping for a bachelor party were seated behind and next to us (this was 12:30PM). We certainly won't go back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

Review: Skip the steak and go for the chicken fry served with your choice of potato and their garlic house salad dressing and warm rolls. Granted, the decor is so 1950s but you're whole purpose of going is to eat...so enjoy!

Review: Great place to go and have a steak. It was the first restaurant I ever ate at when I moved here, and the one I have been back to the most. One at breakfast here once, and it was really good, but more than I am used to spending for that meal. Although the salad is nothing special, the steaks cannot be beat. It kind of sucks they don't take reservations though as there is nothing else around there to eat at if they are full (which they have been on more than one occaision). It is a place not to be missed when dining in OKC.

Review: This place could really use some updating on the inside. I wasn't that impressed with the steak on my visit.

Review: We went for breakfast one morning and everything was cold when it finally got to our table. Wait people didn't seem to notice our water glasses needed filling until my husband went to find a pitcher of water. He will not go back. I remember it from years ago when it was a great place to go. I guess all those people who worked there at the time didn't pass the information along as to how to make your customers wanti to come back.

Review: I am a native of Oklahoma and live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and every. Everytime I travel home to Oklahoma City it is a requirement that I get my steak fix (President's Choice), and it must be from Cattlemen's. There's no other steak like it! I will be there in September. Thank God!

Review: (Posted 6/9/08) I've been there 4 times over the past 4yrs. It's definitely not that great. i cook a better ribeye at home, and the service 3 out of 4 times was not very good either. i went there 4 times because i figured, well, maybe it's the certain kitchen staff that's bad, or maybe something else like that. Nope, they just aren't very good. why they are recommended so often i have no idea.

Review: (Posted 4/23/08) I would have to agree with other readers about Cattleman's, the steaks are on par with Denny's or or a Bob Evans. The service is OK but I felt like I was in a restaurant that hadn't been dusted or cleaned in 20 years. Kinda felt like we were eating at a greasy spoon at a truck stop. Much better choices in OKC.

Review: It is amazing how a extensive marketing campaign can mask the actual quality of the product. Such is the case with Cattleman's steakhouse. Boulevard Steakhouse in Edmond is the absolute best steak in the OKC metro if not the midwest. Cattleman's is subpar and overpriced, you get a better steak at Cimmaron, Outback, or even Applebee's. I would wonder how many people who say Cattlemen's is the best have ever tried Boulevard. Remember that stockyard city means tourist trap and this is the quintessential tourist trap resturaunt.

Review: This reveiwer obviously has not had a good steak. I wasted my time with this place with high hopes only to get a steak akin to Denny's. And honestly, I think Denny's would have been better and less expensive to boot. If you really want a good steak, try the new Mahoganeys, Opus, Boulevard or Mantles. All of these places, while more expensive are far superior to Cattlemans and by the way are all unique to Oklahoma. Yes, Cattlemans has been around forever, but they need to make good on the promise of fine steaks which is an area they fall very short on.

Review: Always heard about it and after 5 years of being here I went. I was very dissapointed. The only good thing was the meat, with nothing else good to pair it with not even a glass of wine. The two wines they had by the glass were something I will never drink. Fries were soggy. The salad was just big pieces of iceberg and the salad dressing had no taste. The pie (home made) was a chemical lemon taste goo. I willnever go there again.
