No word on whether the cake is to be adorned with 125 candles, but our fair city celebrates a milestone birthday with a party at City Hall on Tuesday, April 22nd, Oklahoma City officials announced this week. The event is set to feature free cake, architectural tours of the historic building and history presentations from local architect Jim Loftis and Dr. Bob Blackburn, Director of the Oklahoma Historical Society.
Also to celebrate the occasion, the folks at Spokies are putting together a free bike history tour of downtown. Open to anyone 16 years of age and older, the OKC birthday ride leaves from the downtown library at 6 p.m. on April 22nd. Register online.
