Late last year, the city held a public meeting and created an online survey in order to gather ideas and feedback on the upcoming MAPS 3 downtown park. Then, three conceptual drawings were released in a detailed presentation, and city officials encouraged residents to email comments on the designs. On Thursday evening, we will get to see the final proposal for the $132 million, 70-acre project.
Expected to incorporate elements from all three of the previously-released concepts, designers Hargreaves Associates are set to unveil the park master plan at a 6 p.m. Thursday community meeting held at the Downtown Library (300 Park Avenue). The meeting is open to the public, and phase one construction is set to begin this year. If you can't attend, the city will post details online on Friday, and I'll add the link to this post.
1/27 Update: Here's a video of the full Thursday meeting.
