The lights are going up in Automobile Alley, the Myriad Gardens ice rink soon will be open for Downtown in December, and several of the metro area light displays kick off this weekend. Yes, the holiday season is here. And if it so happens the seasonal spirit has emboldened you to finally take the all-important step of proposing marriage to your significant other, the city of Yukon is offering one way to do it.

As part of the annual Christmas in the Park event in Yukon, a new "Will You Marry Me?" sign is available for any and all nervous suitors. Simply park the car, walk to the sign area and flip the switch when the time is right. For details on sign location, contact Dana Deckard at the City of Yukon at (405) 350-3933 or by email at ddeckard@cityofyukonok.gov.

Yukon's Christmas in the Park, with an estimated 4.5 million lights over 100 acres in 3 inter-connected parks, begins Saturday, November 17th and runs through New Year's Eve.
