There's procrastination, and then there's procrastination. And if you haven't yet bid farewell to the old familiar beep of the Pikepass hard case, you're taking procrastination to a serious level. Apparently, many have done just that because the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority said last spring it was issuing a 4th and final notice to customers not yet using the new stickers. But a bunch didn't listen, so now, the 5th notice really will be the last warning.
In just a few weeks, the old hard case Pikepasses will no longer work, and if a motorist tries to drive through a turnpike gate with one, the account will be charged a $25 penalty to start, with a maximum fine reaching $75 per offense. In addition, the driver could be ticketed by a state trooper. So to avoid the fee, not to mention the hassle, get your sticker installed right away. If for some reason you did not receive a sticker, call customer service at 800-PIKEPASS.
