Oklahoma has seen its share of movie projects with well-known celebrities the last couple of years, from Milla Jovovich in Famke Janssen's "Bringing Up Bobby" to Jessica Alba, Casey Affleck and Kate Hudson in "The Killer Inside Me." Then, Terrence Malick's drama "To the Wonder," starring Ben Affleck and Rachel McAdams, was filmed in the Bartlesville and Tulsa areas two years ago. It is slated to premiere later this month at the Venice Film Festival. That's plenty of star power in our humble home state, but it doesn't come close to the Hollywood royalty we soon will welcome.

Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Oklahoma native Tracy Letts, the film "August: Osage County" begins shooting September 24th in Bartlesville. The dark comedy/drama stars Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts as mother and daughter in a dysfunctional Pawhuska family. The cast also includes Chris Cooper, Abigail Breslin and Juliette Lewis.

Freihofer Casting is holding an open call for paid, non-speaking extras this Saturday, August 18th from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Tulsa Promenade Mall (4107 S. Yale Avenue). They're looking for everyone except babies and toddlers, and they ask those in attendance to know their clothing sizes. If you can't make it Saturday, you can still be an extra. Email AugustExtras@gmail.com with your name, mailing address, email address, all phone numbers, height and all clothing sizes, including shoes. Also, list ages for anyone under 18, as well as days you would be available, and include a recent, clear photo. For more information, call the casting hotline at (405) 310-4391.

Update: The casting call location has changed to Promenade Mall.
