Soon, school will be back in session for metro area kids. So think not of the triple digit temperatures we will experience over the next several weeks but instead of the weekday morning buses, the cool fall breezes, football games and another upcoming seasonal favorite. The Oklahoma State Fair runs September 13-23 this year, featuring all the games, food, rides, exhibitions and events you love.
A couple of the major special events have been announced, and tickets are on sale for "Disney on Ice Presents: Dare to Dream" and the PRCA Xtreme Bulls Tour. If you purchase on or before September 12th, an event ticket also covers gate admission. One-day wristbands for unlimited rides are $10 off if purchased by September 12th. And discount gate admission tickets are available as well; they give you $2 off for adults and $1 off for children.
As with previous years, there are a number of promotional days where you can save money on admission. I have updated all of the State Fair information with the details.
