It has been nearly a year of anticipation since the announcement last spring, and fans had to accept a delay beyond the original estimated completion date of December. But the already fantastic Warren Movie Theatre in Moore is now even better, this weekend marking the debut of a new $10 million IMAX addition.
Along with a state-of-the-art sound system and plush stadium seating, the new IMAX auditorium features a 60-foot wide, 6-story tall screen, the largest in the United States. It's just the 2nd IMAX screen in Oklahoma City, the other located at AMC Quail Springs. For opening week, the Warren IMAX has half-price showings of "Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon" in 3-D as well as "The Dark Knight" in 2D. First run IMAX features begin in early March with "Dr. Suess' The Lorax" and "Disney's John Carter," both in 3D. Regular IMAX adult ticket prices are $16 for 3D evening showings, $13 for matinees. Screenings in 2D are $3 cheaper.
