For the 84th Academy Awards on February 26th, the red carpet will roll out all across the country, including Oklahoma City. As part of the Oscar Night America event, nearly 50 cities will host their own glamorous fund-raising watch parties. Presented by the Ronald McDonald House of OKC Young Professionals, the metro's Oscar affair will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of OKC, an organization that provides a "home away from home" for families of seriously ill or injured children receiving treatment in Oklahoma City.
The event begins at 6 p.m. with a red carpet welcome at the Greens Country Club, just south of Mercy Health Center near Memorial and Meridian. Attendees, dressed in formal cocktail attire, receive a copy of the official Oscar program, and there will be food from local restaurants, a silent auction, trivia games, contests and more, all before the live broadcast of the Academy Awards Ceremony begins.
Tickets to Oklahoma City's Oscar Night America event are $50 for an individual or $75 for a couple, and they can be purchased online. For more information about tickets, sponsorship opportunities or donating, call (405) 424-6874 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
