And here we go again... Just about the time my little mind finally begins to call up the name "Oklahoma City Arena" rather than "Ford Center," I know they'll announce a new naming rights deal, perhaps with MidFirst Bank as some have speculated. Now, another metro sporting organization is likewise messing with me.
The Oklahoma City Redhawks, now owned by Mandalay Baseball Properties and an affiliate of the Houston Astros, will see a change with their stadium name as well, no longer to be the "AT&T Bricktown Ballpark." Instead, the organization announced Monday that AT&T is "changing their marketing strategy" and the facility will be referred to as "RedHawks Ballpark" until a new sponsor is found.
In all honesty, though, this one won't change much for me, just as it didn't matter when we went from SBC to AT&T. I say it's just the Bricktown Ballpark.

Yes, I agree that they should just name it the ‘BrickTown Ballpark” and then is some one wants to sponsor it. They just do that and not change the name. In San Diego, They went through the same thing with both the Football statium and also when they built the new Baseball field downtown. These companies that want to sponsor any thing, they should just sponsor it and not worry about their appearance to the public. It would make a bigger inpact in my eye if they do it that way.
