I'm completely uncool when it comes to music, and even though I'm only vaguely aware of who Lady Gaga is, it's clear that I should keep an eye on Edmond's own Greyson Michael Chance. The 12-year-old Cheyenne Middle School student has become an overnight sensation following his sixth-grade talent show performance of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi," the video of which has drawn over 2 million views on YouTube.
One of those 2 million was Ellen DeGeneres. She promptly flew young Chance to Los Angeles and tweeted, "Never been more excited to have someone on my show." And if you missed this morning's appearance as I did, you can see video of it on the official Ellen DeGeneres show website.
So if you're musically uncool like me, take note of the metro's own Mr. Greyson Chance. He appears destined to be the next big thing, if he's not already. Here is a full profile on Greyson Chance.
5/18 Update: Multiple sources are reporting Greyson Chance has signed a recording contract with Interscope Records.
