If you're anything like me, you've eaten your weight in turkey and pie, and you need to get up and active this weekend. Well, it's time for an annual OKC favorite, Downtown in December. Head to Bricktown Friday for the 5:30 p.m. tree lighting ceremony featuring the OKC Ballet, the Canterbury Choral Society, Santa, holiday treats and more.

And all weekend you can start to enjoy the many Downtown in December events. You will find an outdoor ice rink, snow tubing slides at the Bricktown Ballpark, and beautiful holiday lights along the canal. Plus, thanks to the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, Sunday admission to the National Memorial Museum is free, and free water taxi rides are available from 6-9:30 p.m. every Thursday through Sunday thanks to the Oklahoman.

Elsewhere, a Thanksgiving benefit concert for the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma features Graham Colton, Christopher Wray and The City Lives Friday night at 8 p.m. at the Farmers Public Market on South Klein. Tickets are available online.

In sports, we've already discussed the much-anticipated Bedlam game this Saturday. And the Thunder starts a 5-game homestand with a nationally televised game on ESPN Friday night against the Milwaukee Bucks. There's a pregame block party at 5:30 p.m., and a Toy Drive to benefit the Salvation Army means anyone who brings a new, unwrapped toy will receive a voucher for tickets to an upcoming game. And if that's not enough basketball for you, just go back on Sunday for a Thunder game against Houston.

State Fair Park's Modern Living Building is the site for a Christmas Arts and Crafts Show Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $3 for adults, and children under 12 are admitted free. See the official site for more information. And the OKC Museum of Art will be showing 10 short films from the 2009 Sundance Film Festival from 8-10 p.m. both Friday and Saturday nights.

Are you attending any of the above events, or has something else caught your eye this weekend? Let us know below. You can submit future events for publication and possible profile here on About Oklahoma City by using this form.

Great job on that 33-31 Bedlam prediction! Just wondering if you have a Super Bowl prediction yet so I can do a 180 and place my bet early? *wink*

Haha… Yes, I was way off, wasn’t I? That one wasn’t at all what I expected.
