Many throughout the metro will spend the weekend trying to get over the Sooners loss in the BCS National Championship Thursday night. So here are a few diversion options. First, the Oklahoma City Philharmonic presents a classics concert at the Civic Center Music Hall featuring Barry Douglas on piano.The Thunder face the Houston Rockets Friday night at the Ford Center. The team will have adult size jerseys, replica and swingman, on sale for Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and Desmond Mason.
If you've never been down to Riverwind Casino in Norman, this would be a good, packed weekend on stage. Percy Sledge will be there Friday night, and Foreigner performs Saturday night. Elsewhere, the Loony Bin comedy club on Rockwell has high-energy comedian Carl Strong. And the Blazers are in OKC both Friday and Saturday with games against Tulsa and Mississippi.
