"Trips on a Tank Full" Oklahoma Coupons

By June 22, 2008

Follow me on:

I've written before about the great vacation opportunities available right here in the state and detailed in the free 2008 Oklahoma Vacation Guide from oktourism.com. Well with gas prices as high as they are in OKC, Central Oklahoma's Frontier Country is reviving the popular campaign "Trips on a Tank Full."

The oktourism.com website provides an online travel planner on which you can create a summer getaway itinerary and allows you to request brochures on a number of Oklahoma destinations. And the "Trips on a Tanks Full" coupons can save you money at top area attractions.

Cool road trip ideas.

I was wondering if you might know when the OKC Festival of the Horse will take place. I have heard that it is in October 2008 downtown, but have not been able to find any details. I would appreciate any info you might know of, and sorry to veer from the topic of your post.

Hi cowboy,

No, I’m sorry I don’t have any details as yet. My best guess would be October as well.

Thanks for the reply. I’m wondering if the even still exists. The only one that I could find info on was the event in 1990. I went to that one, and am hoping to find it again, but I wonder if it was a single year event.

Good question. I know of it, though I’ve never been. I thought there was one (or a variation thereof) in Yukon recently, but I’ve been unable to find any confirmation of it. I can say for sure that if I get any information on it, it will be mentioned here on the site. So keep checking back.
