Name the Four Lion Cubs at the OKC Zoo

Tuesday March 4, 2008
Four new lion cubs are a smash hit at the Oklahoma City Zoo. Due to all the interest in the furry additions, the zoo has set up a MySpace page where the public can monitor the cubs' progress. And if that's not enough to satisfy your curiosity, KFOR even has a Live "Cub Cam" that runs from 7am to 4:45pm daily.

As the public gets to know the African lion cubs, born to mothers Tia and Bridget, the zoo is offering the chance to help choose their names. Go online to the OKC Zoo website before 3 pm on March 12th to cast your vote between two selections for each of the cubs. The site gives photos and a description of each.

For example, the first cub female is called "spunky" by the keepers, and they say she "loves to jump." Choices for her are African names "Malaika" (which means "angel") and "Hanna" (meaning "happiness").
