According to the weather reports, the metro will be getting a few inches of snow this weekend, not a good sign for those still trying to recover from this week's ice storm. But if you are able to venture out, there are a few weekend events to attend around the metro.
For those that sent in their reply card by December 7th, the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum will still have the 13th Annual Cowboy Christmas Ball featuring Michael Martin Murphy on Friday at 7pm. And Riverwind Casino's ShowPlace Theatre will welcome Cross Canadian Ragweed Friday night as well. You can get venue and ticket information here.
Perfect for the holiday season, Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park presents A Christmas Carol this weekend at UCO's Pegasus Theatre. For ticket information, call (405) 235-3700.
And the Downtown in December holiday events will continue regardless of the weather, according to organizers. This week I spotlight "Devon Holidays on the Canal." Even if you've taken a water taxi ride on the Bricktown canal many times before, this will be quite an experience with all the great holiday lights. Ride on Sunday night and do so absolutely free, courtesy of Devon Energy.
