OKC Fireworks Laws and Safety Information

Tuesday July 3, 2007
Many metro area residents will be heading out for one of the great fireworks displays around the city, but many also like to purchase and set off their own personal fireworks. Before you do, there are a couple of very important things to remember.

First, it always seems to surprise some to learn that it's illegal to buy, ignite or even possess fireworks in Oklahoma City. In fact, most cities around Oklahoma have similar restrictions. I've put together a breakdown of fireworks laws for metro cities that also includes links to fireworks safety information.

Have a safe and happy 4th of July!
