OKC Weekend Highlights
Friday July 14, 2006
Happy hot weekend, OKC residents.Head downtown to the Oklahoma River this weekend for the 2nd annual Ozarka Bricktown Nationals drag boat races. As an official Oklahoma Centennial event, there will also be a 62 foot hot air balloon launched by the Oklahoma Centennial Commission. The balloon will launch around 7pm tonight and today will have drag boat shows and tests, but the actual race competition begins Saturday morning and goes through Sunday. Check the official site for ticket information.
Other than the drag boat races, OKC has the Original Free RV and Boat Show at the State Fairgrounds today through Sunday. It's a free event with free parking and plenty to see for boat and RV enthusiasts. See their official site for more information.
Also, the Yard Dawgz take on Arkansas Saturday night at the Ford Center as they try to rebound from a tough loss to Tulsa last week.
