I've received a couple of e-mails in the past few days asking me why I haven't written about Jamie Bolin, and I've replied with a number of answers. We're not really a "news" site... I don't know anymore than what I've read in the papers... But I think the truth is I've simply avoided thinking about this horrific crime as much as I possibly can. There are things in this world that truly are unspeakable.
It was important for me to pass along, however, that the family of Jamie Rose Bolin has set up a Memorial Fund in her name. Donations can be made at any Bank of Oklahoma branch. All of my thoughts and sincere condolences go out to this young girl's family.

Completely understandable.
I read the Sunday paper and have tried to push it from my mind ever since. I have a little girl myself, and everything that has happened is about the worst thought I can imagine.
what good taste. tank you for being respectful. my little girl is 18 now please let the children be children but every one has a set of eyes. from a single mom of two who has that habit of watching every child around. thanks for your column.
