Wasteful Spending Down for Oklahoma

Citizens Against Government Waste has released their 2006 Pig Book, a detailed analysis of state by state wasteful spending. In the state rankings, Oklahoma came in as one of the best in "pork per capita," a huge improvement over the 2005 ranking of 16th. Only Indiana, Florida and Georgia fared better in 2006 than Oklahoma in avoiding spending "in circumvention of established budgetary procedures." The top three offenders were Alaska, Hawaii and Washington D.C.
