Oklahoma City Raising Water Rates

Tuesday April 11, 2006
Oklahoma City residents will be paying more for their water. The city council voted last week to raise water rates by 3.75 percent each year through 2009. In addition, OKC provides water to many neighboring communities such as Warr Acres, The Village, El Reno, Mustang, Yukon, Piedmont and others. The city will charge those communities higher rates as well, which likely means that expense will be passed on to the customers.
