OKC Memorial Marathon Information

Wednesday March 22, 2006
For Oklahoma City residents, the month of April will forever be associated with the bombing. Things like the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, though, help celebrate life and the honor of those lost in the aftermath of tragedy. Beginning with a service at the Survivor Tree and 168 seconds of silence, race events run from April 28-30. And registration is now underway.

With several race options including a full Boston qualifying USATF sanctioned event on a 26.2 mile single loop course, a half marathon, a marathon relay, a 5k Memorial walk and a kid's marathon, the OKC Memorial Marathon has been called one of the "12 Must-Run Marathons" in the nation.

Registration deadlines are coming soon, so get all the information on events leading up to the race, registration requirements and tips for marathon participants.
