A Valentine Picnic

The warmer than usual temperatures the city has been experiencing the past month or so may give you a few extra options when considering your Valentine's Day date. This weekend looks to be pretty chilly, but the early forecasts for the holiday appear quite accomodating. Assuming the winds don't cause too much trouble, consider a Valentine's Day picnic for your sweetheart.
One of the more popular locations in Oklahoma City for an outdoor picnic is Lake Hefner. There are plenty of picnic areas, tables and open spaces to fly a kite or simply relax as you watch the sailboats on the lake. Granted, mid-February won't be the same sight as the Summer sailboat races, but it will be an enjoyable and unique date experience nonetheless.
For the food side of the equation, there are so many ideas for a picnic meal that are far more unique than sandwiches. Grab a couple of glasses, a bottle of wine and consider some of these options:
